Why You Can Count On Missi Miniature Quality To Be Superior ...

You can say I was born with a needle and thread in my hands...mother was a very fine seamstress with her own business and I was taught to sew as soon as I could hold sewing, knitting, and crochet needles in my hands... Say 4 or 5 Years old ... I started making my own clothes at the age of 9 ... I took a tailoring class on how to make men slacks, jackets ... and made all of my husband clothes!

In school I took all the sewing classes that were offered to me ... After my schooling I went into mother's business and worked with her till I retired from the business...

I did home sewing for people, no advertising just word of mouth Customers...one of my customer's husband was building her a Miniature Doll House as you might have figured out..that is how I got started with miniatures

I was living alone then...Ruth, my friend, took me to a Doll House Miniature Shop and was I in awe at what I saw and said to myself, "I can do this..." I purchased a doll house and what fun it was building it... I did my own wiring, wallpaper, carpets, painting ... whatever it needed!

After a few months we went again to another Miniature Shop looking for furniture...This shop was in the next city to where I live. I noticed a sign saying they were moving. They were moving to my city ...Pleasant Hill! I don't know why but I had a strong urge to ask for a job...at 73 years of age!

That night I got a phone call to come in for an interview and got the job...worked there until they closed the store..6 years ago.

I made numerous dressed beds for the store, as well as all the shown articles in my Website...and instructed customers who purchased doll houses how to wire their houses.

I have been doing miniature for over 16 year now and own 4 dollhouses. The one on our homepage is a half scale house, 2 floors. The shades are made by me with shade material and hand made tassels. They do not go up and down...
